Pangea’s Sales Academy

Welcome to Pangea’s Sales Academy, where we invest in the development and growth of our sales consultants. We understand that in order to succeed in today’s competitive market, it is essential to constantly improve and upskill oneself. That’s why we have created a rigorous 3-month training program that has been curated by our Learning and Development team in conjunction with senior leadership to provide comprehensive systems training, process training, group training, individual training, and call coaching.

Our sales training program is designed to give our sales consultants the tools and knowledge they need to excel in their roles. We’ve seen great success through these academies, with many new-to-Pangea consultants closing deals in as little as 5 weeks. This is a testament to the effectiveness of our training program and the dedication of our sales consultants.

Group Training for Collaboration and Learning

One of the critical components of our training program is our group training, which is held weekly with all consultants on the team. These training topics vary depending on what will be most beneficial to the team. These sessions provide an open forum for discussion, allowing team members to bounce ideas off each other and learn from their peers. This training can be led by both senior leadership and less-senior members of the business, providing a diverse range of perspectives and experiences. By attending these group training, sales consultants can learn from their peers and gain a deeper understanding of the sales process. These sessions’ open forum format also helps foster a collaborative environment, where team members can share their experiences and best practices to help each other improve.

Mentorship Program for Additional Support

Additionally, we offer a mentorship program, where all consultants are assigned a mentor other than their direct manager. These mentors change every 6 months, providing consultants with an additional resource to bounce ideas and learn new skills. Having a mentor outside of one’s direct manager allows for a fresh perspective and can provide valuable insights that may not be available otherwise. Mentors can help sales consultants navigate the industry, provide guidance on how to handle difficult situations, and offer advice on how to close more deals. This mentorship program is designed to complement the formal training provided in the academy, offering a more personal and tailored approach to learning and development.

Call Coaching for Improved Performance

We also provide call coaching, which includes one-on-one sessions between a sales consultant and their respective L&D consultant. These sessions continue throughout a sales consultant’s career and are tailored to their current needs. This allows for personalized attention and support, helping our sales consultants to overcome any challenges they may be facing and continue to improve their skills. Call coaching is an important part of our training program as it allows sales consultants to hone their skills and improve their performance on sales calls.

Individualized Training Provided by Senior Leadership

Our senior leadership also provides individualized training, where sales consultants can book time in their diaries to work on upskilling themselves. For example, Tamsin (10+ years of L&D experience) will provide training on interviewing employees who are about to become managers for the first time and provide training to experienced leaders who may need a refresher. Neil will provide training on how to headhunt vs successful business development most effectively, and Sanjay will provide training on the energy market. This customized approach allows our sales consultants to focus on the most relevant areas to them and their careers. By providing individualized training, we can meet the specific needs of each sales consultant and help them achieve their career goals.

External Learning Budget for Continued Growth

We also offer an external learning budget, which is a co-investment scheme for sales consultants. The budget is up to 2K (pounds or dollars), which can increase as you progress in the business. The business will cover 75% of the cost, and the consultant covers 25%. This budget is available at the promotion stage, providing an additional incentive for our sales consultants to continue to improve and develop their skills. This budget can be used to attend industry conferences, take online courses, or purchase books and other materials that can help to improve their skills and knowledge.
