Senior Associate M&A/Project Finance

Pangea Talent Solutions is partnered with two leading Investment/Development platforms in Berlin that are both looking for Senior Associate level candidates who have a blended background in M&A and Project Finance. The successful candidate will work on a variety of interesting projects within either organisation, spanning a wide range of renewables sectors (solar/wind/offshore wind/battery storage/hydrogen/methanol).
As part of the Investment teams, you will be involved in a range of workstreams from debt/equity investment to negotiation of PPAs and EPC contracts. As such, both companies are looking for a well-rounded professional who is willing to get stuck-in a wide variety of workstreams.

The Role

  • Working closely with engineering and development teams, affiliate companies of the group, investors, management, business partners, subcontractors, and external advisors.
  • Arranging debt financings and negotiating sales and cooperation agreements.
  • Negotiation and conclusion of project contracts with technical and financial counterparties and off-takers.
  • Developing and running financial models.
  • Managing the due diligence by the advisers of co-investors and lenders.
  • Tracking project progress and regularly reviewing requirements of the lenders, including the review of all project documentation and contractual agreements (PPAs, FPAs, EPCs).

    • The Candidate

  • Master’s degree in business administration or finance, preferred.
  • 4 years or more of experience in project financing and M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions).
  • Strong knowledge in the field of renewable energies and/or experience in project management.
  • Excellent analytical skills to effectively navigate complex work environments and work independently.
  • Proven track record of goal-oriented and solution-driven approaches.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to adapt in an international setting.
