About the Role
Are you an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in water and wastewater treatment systems? We are looking for a skilled Project Manager to oversee complex industrial and municipal projects, ensuring successful execution from start to finish. This role offers the opportunity to lead high-impact projects and manage all aspects of project delivery, from engineering through to commissioning and warranty expiration.

What You’ll Do:
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the execution of industrial water and wastewater treatment projects, ranging from equipment supply to full design-build scopes. You’ll work across multiple teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
  • Lead project execution: Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up.
  • Collaborate with clients: Serve as the primary point of contact with clients, ensuring their needs are met and that the scope of the project is clearly defined.
  • Coordinate internal resources: Communicate project requirements, goals, and deliverables to internal teams, ensuring smooth operations throughout the project.
  • Manage budgets and costs: Oversee project budgets, controlling costs, forecasting revenue, and ensuring timely invoicing and reporting.
  • Ensure timely project completion: Develop detailed schedules, delegate tasks, and maintain strict project timelines.
  • Maintain relationships: Build and sustain strong relationships with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring smooth communication and project flow.
  • Project reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on project status, cost performance, and progress toward completion.
  • Review contracts and documentation: Ensure contract terms are met and review key engineering documents such as P&IDs, layouts, and vendor submissions.
  • On-site project oversight: Travel to project sites as necessary, coordinating with field teams and ensuring the project adheres to quality standards and client specifications.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience: At least 10 years in project management or engineering, with experience in industrial plant or equipment projects—preferably in the water treatment or related sectors.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline is required. A Professional Engineer (PE) license or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable.
  • Technical Expertise: Knowledge of mechanical, structural, process, and piping design, as well as experience with hydraulics and industrial equipment.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, ASANA, or Smartsheet. Familiarity with AutoCAD and Adobe Acrobat is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce detailed reports, proposals, and technical documentation.
  • Project Planning: Ability to plan and execute projects independently, manage resources effectively, and make sound decisions to keep projects on track.
  • Contract Management: Experience with interpreting contracts, handling submittals, and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • ERP System Knowledge: Familiarity with ERP systems for cost control, purchasing, and forecasting is preferred.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Perks and Benefits:
  • Competitive Salary & Performance-Based Incentives: Base salary with the potential for project bonuses.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage.
  • Retirement Savings: 401(k) with company matching.
  • Work-Life Balance: Flexible working arrangements with hybrid/remote options.
  • Professional Development: Training and resources to support your career growth.
  • Dynamic Work Environment: Engage in challenging projects that make a real impact on the water treatment industry.
