LNG Analyst

We are seeking a skilled and motivated LNG Analyst to join a growing LNG team in Denmark. As part of a global trading firm, you will work closely with an experienced LNG trader to support and develop the company's expanding LNG business. This is an exciting opportunity to apply advanced analytics, programming, and machine learning techniques to real-world LNG market forecasting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance quantitative models for LNG market analysis, price forecasting, and supply-demand dynamics.
• Utilise Python programming to build and optimise analytical tools and trading strategies.
• Apply AI and machine learning techniques to improve predictive modelling and decision-making processes.
• Work with large datasets, integrating market, shipping, weather, and geopolitical data into analytical frameworks.
• Collaborate with the trading team to provide actionable insights and support commercial decision-making.
• Monitor and interpret global LNG market trends, pricing dynamics, and fundamental factors.
• Continuously improve analytical methodologies and explore innovative approaches to LNG forecasting.

Requirements:

• Strong quantitative background with a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis, modelling, and automation.
• Experience with machine learning and AI-driven forecasting models.
• Solid understanding of statistical methods and time-series analysis.
• Familiarity with LNG markets or commodities trading is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced trading environment and deliver insights under time constraints.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, analytical mindset.
